Off the Page: How to Tell a Wicked Good, Wicked Funny Story
Workshop leader Rebecca Rule, named "Thalia: Muse of Humor" by New Hampshire Magazine, will share what she’s learned about storytelling in her travels across New Hampshire, sharing and collecting stories in libraries and at historical societies. Get some tips and practice in telling stories to children or adults, and encouraging others to tell stories.
Presenter: is the author of two collections of short fiction, including Best Revenge ( University Press of New England). Named Outstanding Work of Fiction by the NH Writers Project and listed as one of five “Essential NH Books” by New Hampshire Magazine, it was reissued in paperback last spring. She co-authored two how-to books with Susan Wheeler: Creating the Story and True Stories (both published by Heinemann). She also writes a column on NH books and writers, "Bookmarks", that appears in the Concord Monitor, Nashua Telegraph and Portsmouth Herald.
