Balanced Growth of Library Collections; or, Should we Cancel Print?

Collection development might be called a librarian's raison d'etre. Libraries are often evaluated by students, faculty, and the general public by what is on the shelves or available through electronic databases. Given the phenomenal growth in electronic databases and limited library budgets, how should librarians build balanced collections combining the best of both print and electronic worlds?

This workshop is the first in the Todd Trevorrow Commemorative Series for Managing Knowledge in a Digital Era. It is sponsored by the NHCUC Libraries Committee through a grant funded by the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation.

Speaker: TBA, New Hampshire College and University Council (NHCUC)
